Quick answers
Ordering & lead times
Questions about quotations, ordering process and production timescales
Color-Clad's typical production lead time is 3 working days from confirmed order, cleared technical details and agreed material availability. Delivery transit time is separate. Complex profiles, sample-led assessments, unusual materials, larger quantities, non-stock finishes or requirements needing further technical review may require additional time. The applicable lead time should be confirmed with the quotation or order acknowledgement.
Request a quoteThe 3-working-day figure refers to the typical production period after the order and technical details are confirmed. Nationwide delivery time depends on component length, quantity, destination and transport method. Delivery timing should be confirmed when the quotation or order is agreed.
Provide the required date, product, material, length and quantity when enquiring. Color-Clad can then confirm whether the requested programme is practical. Do not assume an accelerated service is automatically available.
Products & capabilities
What Color-Clad manufactures and product ranges
Color-Clad's stated offering includes: verge flashings, drip flashings, internal corners, external corners, barge-board details, bespoke flashings, other folded trims, trimline gutters, downpipes, secret-fix panels, Vieo panel requirements, zed sections, folded angles, purlin-type sections, top-hat sections, pressed roof profiles, discontinued-profile replication, custom folded sections, and sketch-led fabrication. Final material, geometry and feasibility are confirmed for the project.
Explore capabilitiesSome products use familiar profile types, but leg sizes, angles, returns, laps, lengths, material and finish are normally confirmed for the individual requirement. Do not assume a drawing from one project applies to another.
Color-Clad states up to 3m for relevant folded components. Final feasibility depends on material, thickness, developed width, fold sequence, tooling, flange sizes and handling.
Materials, colours & finishes
Material types, gauges, colour palettes and finish options
Color-Clad's stated material ranges are: Colour-coated steel at 0.7mm with relevant folded-component lengths up to 3m. Pre-coated aluminium at 0.9mm, 1.6mm and 2.0mm with relevant folded-component lengths up to 3m. Galvanised steel at 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.2mm, 1.6mm and 2.0mm with relevant folded-component lengths up to 3m. Not every product is available in every material or gauge.
View technical informationThe overall website range must not be read as a universal product-by-gauge matrix. For example: colour-coated steel is stated at 0.7mm, pre-coated aluminium is stated at 0.9mm, 1.6mm and 2.0mm, galvanised steel is stated at 0.7mm, 0.9mm, 1.2mm, 1.6mm and 2.0mm. Product suitability is confirmed at quotation.
Goosewing Grey is listed under Colorcoat LG with the nearest published reference BS 10A05. This is a manufacturer palette reference and must not automatically be presented as held in stock. Current supply, gauge, quantity and finish availability should be confirmed at quotation.
Drawings, sketches & samples
How to submit information for quotation or assessment
Useful information can include: dimensioned drawing, rough hand sketch, marked photograph, existing component, physical sample, profile offcut, manufacturer datasheet, CAD or PDF drawing, or site photograph. Send the clearest information currently available.
Upload a drawingDraw the cross-section as viewed from one end and mark: individual leg dimensions, angles, returns, hems, overall finished length, material, thickness, quantity, finish, visible face, and handedness where relevant.
Explain: intended use, existing detail, required connection, dimensions, length, quantity, material or finish where known. Color-Clad can help identify the relevant type of fabricated component.
Discontinued profiles
Assessment and replication of obsolete roofing and cladding profiles
Assessment may begin from: physical sample, profile offcut, technical drawing, dimensioned sketch, clear photographs, or manufacturer information. Replication is offered where technically feasible.
Submit a discontinued profileAn unbranded profile or a profile from a manufacturer no longer trading can still be assessed from a sample, drawing, measured sketch or photograph.
Feasibility depends on: profile geometry, material, thickness, required length, tooling, quantity, condition of sample, production method, and required interface. A different or alternative route may be discussed where appropriate, but an alternative cannot always be guaranteed.
Technical & project responsibility
Structural, design and responsibility boundaries
Where a component forms part of a structural or proprietary system, the project engineer, designer or system provider should confirm: section, material grade, thickness, loads, span, support centres, restraint, holes and cleats, fixings, and required conformity documentation. Color-Clad manufactures to the confirmed requirement.
A folded section may resemble or function as a Zed, purlin-type section or top-hat, but load capacity and suitability depend on: material grade, yield strength, geometry, thickness, supports, restraint, loads, and project design. Do not publish load or span claims without project-specific engineering.
The relevant designer or contractor remains responsible for: rainfall intensity, catchment area, gutter capacity, outlet number, falls, overflow, downpipe capacity, support and installation. Color-Clad supplies the fabricated rainwater components.
Delivery & service area
Delivery methods, coverage and logistics
Delivery is assessed against: component length, quantity, weight, protection, destination, access requirements, and transport method. Provide the delivery postcode when requesting a quotation.
Request a quoteColor-Clad manufactures from its workshop near Newport and supplies projects throughout the United Kingdom.
Do not publish unrestricted collection instructions or opening hours until the exact collection process has been confirmed. Where collection is available, provide the order reference and wait for confirmation that the goods are ready.
Manufacturing & approvals
Provenance, certifications and approved relationships
Color-Clad manufactures from its workshop near Newport, South Wales. Manufactured in the UK. Proudly made in Wales.
The badge communicates that Color-Clad's fabrication work is undertaken in the United Kingdom, specifically Wales. It must not be described as: government certification, Royal approval, Crown certification, British Standard approval, or independent accreditation unless separate documentary evidence exists.
The badge supports the factual manufacturing-origin statement. It does not by itself represent third-party certification, regulatory approval or government endorsement.
Changes, repeat orders & support
Modifications, reorders and post-delivery support
Provide: previous order reference, drawing reference, profile description, quantity, required length, and current delivery postcode. Material and colour availability should still be reconfirmed.
Request a quoteDifferent production batches, coating supply and age of the original material can affect appearance. Use the same batch where possible and confirm against a physical sample when matching is critical.
Changes after drawing, material or production approval may affect: lead time, material use, price, production sequence, and delivery. Do not promise that every change can be accepted once manufacture has started.
